WOAT and R.SPORT crossed paths on a balmy evening back in late 2020. In those days R.SPORT was fresh on the Naarm scene and WOAT was a mere figment of imagination. Alas, time moved past and the pals behind the two brands strengthened their friendship, sharing a love for music, design and futsal before inevitably linking up on various football kit collabs.
The first kit we teamed up on was the R.SWOAT 70 long sleeve, a pastal pink and lime green checked football jersey. Such were the times it being the heart of Covid lockdown #2 in Melbourne, we had to get creative for imagery ideas. And by that I mean we totally hand-balled that task off to our good mate Charlie Hawks @chawks and his partner Cora who nailed our first and (hopefully) only ever lockdown shoot from their apartment. Once things opened up a few months later Charlie was able do a little picnic shoot in the park, giving the R.SWOAT 70 another breath of life.
